Early Symptoms of ArthritisArthritis is not just something that ...

It?s true that lots of people get arthritis when they get older but that doesn?t mean it can?t start to take hold early in life as well. Arthritis often develops after a broken bone starts to heal. Some people have a genetic predisposition with regard to early onset arthritis. Not surprisingly, if you learn easy methods to understand the signs early on, you will be better prepared to treat it. This allows you to preserve a full range of motion for longer. The earlier you let arthritis take over, the more difficult a time you will have working out and staying healthy and in shape. Here are a few things to search for.

Joint pain is an apparent indicator of arthritis. Joint pain could be a symptom of lots of different problems, true, but it is one of the most obvious symptoms of arthritis. If your joints get more painful when the weather changes?like when the moisture levels in the air raises?or if you have a fever or a cold, it may likely be an early indicator of arthritis. Talk to your doctor about performing some X-Rays and determining what the underlying cause for your joint pain may be. Don?t just pop some ibuprofen and expect that it goes away.

A particularly distressful sign of arthritis is the lowered ability to move your joints normally. Stiffness takes place to all of us. If we?re suffering from the flu our muscles get tense and our joints get rigid. If you happen to be still stiff after you?ve healed your flu and relaxed your muscles, it is time to see a doctor. You cannot just ?exercise it away? as well as hope for the best. This might result in you ripping your muscles and making the condition a lot worse. Your physician can perform two or three muscle tests to figure out whether you have early onset arthritis or not.

Are your joints feeling warm? Call your health care provider. Warmth is what happens when the body transmits extra blood to a place in your body in an attempt to heal a problem that you most likely cannot see. If you discover that your joints are usually hotter than the rest of your body, consult your doctor immediately. While it might be arthritis, it might also be a sign of something more evere. The only way to figure it out for sure is to call up your doctor and let him or her perform some tests.

Arthritis isn?t going to end up being a bad diagnosis. Every single day a growing number of insights are found in this specific area. The truth is, if you catch it in the first stages of the disease, there are lots of remedies and medications that you can use to reduce the speed of the disease?s advancement. You are no longer bound to copper necklaces and struggling. A lot of new improvements have been developed to help people preserve their range of motion for as long as possible. It is essential to remain positive. Lots of individuals lead perfectly normal lives even with severe arthritis!

I am very active physically and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle. As an older dancer I have quite a bit of experience with holistic pain relief. I found this site while I was doing research on the internet and it has been invaluable to me.

'The Normal Heart,' Still Pumping Love And Fury

The Broadway cast of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart, from left: Lee Pace, Ellen Barkin, Wayne Alan Wilcox, Patrick Breen, Jim Parsons, Joe Mantello, John Benjamin Hickey, Luke Macfarlane, Richard Topol and Mark Harelik.

When it premiered in 1985, Larry Kramer's play, The Normal Heart, seemed ripped from the headlines. A thinly-veiled autobiographical work, it dealt with the early days of the AIDS crisis and elicited both admiration and controversy.

Now, a new revival has opened on Broadway to rave reviews and five Tony Award nominations. Audiences who attend show spend two-and-a-half hours confronted by Ned Weeks, an HIV-awareness advocate and a fictional version of Larry Kramer, doggedly telling anybody and everybody that attention must be paid to a growing health problem. And a couple of nights a week, as they exit the theater, some of those audience members find themselves face to face with the real Larry Kramer.

Out on the sidewalk in front of the theater, Kramer distributes a letter to let people know that the AIDS crisis is not a thing of the past.

"I love how Larry Kramer is so many things, but nostalgia is one thing he's not," says actor John Benjamin Hickey, who won a Tony nomination for his portrayal of Ned's closeted lover Felix in The Normal Heart. "Larry is about right now. I mean, yes, his play is about a period of time in the past ? not so distant past ? but I just love that his rabble rousing is as alive, as important, as bad-ass today, as it was back then."

The play, which first played Off-Broadway at New York's Public Theater is now making its Broadway debut in the Golden Theatre. But Director George C. Wolfe ? also Tony nominated ? says The Normal Heart feels like anything but a period piece. It opens with the line, "I know something's wrong," and Wolfe says he wanted to convey the urgency and terror of a killer that hasn't yet been identified.

"It's pre-AIDS," Wolfe says. "It's a horror movie. And that's what I kept telling the actors. It's a horror movie. You wake up one day and an invisible monster that you cannot see is killing people. And you don't have weapons to stop it."

Ellen Barkin ? another Tony nominee ? makes her Broadway debut in the play as Dr. Emma Brookner, a character based on one of the doctors who first started treating gay men who were mysteriously dying.

Dr. Linda Laubenstein, says Barkin, "was a hematologist/oncologist at NYU [who], at the very beginning, I think around '79 or '80, said, 'This is not right. And this is not going to be good.'"

As Barkin's Dr. Brookner tells Ned, Kramer's alter-ego, sex in this atmosphere meant death ? a message many didn't want to hear. But Kramer ? through Ned ? told them anyway, alienating a lot of people along the way. The Normal Heart unflinchingly looks at how Kramer, and several others in the community, fought to get the mayor's office and the Reagan administration to take the growing plague among gay men seriously, as they dealt with friends and loved ones dying all around them. But Kramer's abrasive ways got him kicked out of the organization he helped found, the Gay Men's Health Crisis.

Kramer says he tried to be as objective as possible about himself as he wrote the play.

"When I wrote down what I had actually done, that's what I had actually done," Kramer says. "And I could see that I could annoy people and be this asshole. But that's who I am, so I wasn't going to romanticize myself."

Kramer's Ned isn't afraid to push potential allies who he believes aren't supportive enough; in the play, Ned angrily condemns the inaction of his straight brother:

"I'm furious with you and with myself and every God-damn doctor who ever told me I'm sick and interfered with my loving a man. I'm just ... I'm trying to understand why nobody wants to hear that we're dying. Why nobody wants to help. Why my own brother doesn't want to help!"

There's plenty to counterbalance to Ned's fury. Director George Wolfe says much of what makes the play effective is that Kramer has presented characters the audience falls in love with ? before you see how AIDS affects all of them.

"One of the brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant things that the play does is it makes AIDS intimate," Wolfe says. "It makes it so intimate for every single person sitting in the theater."

26 years after it first opened, The Normal Heart still contains a moment that anticipates an issue at the center of our current national conversation. At the end of the play, there's an unofficial wedding between Ned and his dying lover.

"People say that that's me manipulating the emotions of the play, but that's what happened," Kramer says. "And so that's in the play. And if they think it's too corny, tough s?-."

Yes Virginia, That is Linux Running on JavaScript

Linux running in a JavaScript-based emulator

JavaScript never seems to get any respect. It?s not a real programming language, detractors complain, it?s just some script language that runs in the web browser. We?re not sure what makes JavaScript less ?real? to some, but thanks to today?s web browsers, JavaScript has become a very powerful language. Powerful enough to run Linux in your web browser.

French developer Fabrice Bellard has built a JavaScript-based x86 PC emulator capable of running Linux inside a web browser.

If you?d like to try it out, point Firefox 4 or Chrome 11 to the demo page. Keep in mind that this is just Linux, no X Window or other graphical interface, just the command line, a small C compiler and QEmacs, Bellard?s emacs clone. Still, it?s really Linux, really running in your web browser, really using JavaScript to emulate hardware.

For more info on how Bellard did it, as well as what the hardware emulator supports, see Bellard?s technical notes.

Because the hardware emulation is built around the Typed Array spec, Bellard?s Linux experiment only works in those browsers that support JavaScript typed arrays, namely Firefox 4+ and Chrome 11+ (though a bug in Chrome 12 prevents it from working in the latest version of Chrome ).

Bellard is probably best known for founding the FFMPEG project, but unlike that very useful project, Bellard says his JavaScript-based Linux experiment has no real goals. ?I did it for fun,? writes Bellard, ?just because newer Javascript Engines are fast enough to do complicated things.?

That said, Bellard does have a few possible uses in mind, including serving as a benchmark for JavaScript performance (how fast can your JavaScript engine boot Linux?), client-side processing and perhaps, with a few improvements, running old DOS games and other software in the browser.

Britney Spears' Cameo Is Just Latest For Internet Sensation Keenan Cahill

By James Dinh

Keenan Cahill is an Internet sensation with serious celebrity connections. In just over a year, the Chicago native has become a viral phenomenal by posting video after video of himself lip-synching to a string of hit songs ? all from his bedroom. Since his rise to fame, a few stars have also decided to get in on the fun by appearing alongside Cahill.

Now, the 15-year-old teen star has managed to do the unthinkable: pull a cameo from none other than Britney Spears. In his latest YouTube video tribute, Cahill tackles the pop star's latest smash "Till the World Ends" from inside the flashy Atlantis teen nightclub Crush, in the Bahamas.

"What's up Keenan? I'm here on the set of my video for 'Till the World Ends,' " Britney says to the teen from a video wall inside the club. "The only thing missing from this video set is you!" And then Spears disappears from the screen and Cahill does his version of "Till the World Ends."

We here at the MTV Newsroom were so impressed that Cahill scored a cameo from pop royalty that we decided to rank his best star-studded best video tributes.

5. Lil Jon

Keenan went extra wild when he lip-synched to a number of party tracks by Lil Jon. Alongside a life-size figurehead of the crunk superstar, Cahill was joined by the MC himself for some of his biggest club tracks, including "Turbulence," "Get Out of Your Mind" and "Shots." Cahill may be young, but he definitely knows how to party.

4. Pauly D

Cahill doesn't just lip-synch, he's also an expert in the art of fist-pumping. Just ask Pauly D. After the "Jersey Shore" castmember asked the star via Twitter to lip-synch his way through the DJ's tune "Beat Dat Beat," the duo linked up on a webcam and turned the music up. Dressed in a shirt that read "It's T-Shirt Time," Cahill danced his way through the song while Pauly shared some of his own lip-synching skills.

3. David Guetta

Cahill proved his love for dance tunes when he lip-synched a string of hits by dance mastermind Guetta. "I have a challenge for you. Do you think you can handle a mega-mix of all my hits?" the DJ/producer asked after finding Cahill lounging inside a recording studio. "Dude, come on, I'm a f---ing YouTube sensation!" the star said.

2. Jennifer Aniston

Cahill had previously lip-synched to Far East Movement's "Like a G6," but the Web star got an impromptu visit from Jennifer Aniston during the beginning of her Smart Water viral campaign. "What are you doing?" the actress asked after interrupting the teen's take on the club-ready track. After Cahill told her the obvious, Aniston responded, "Yeah, I know that and that's really, really adorable, but do you know any songs about water?"

1. 50 Cent

In what appeared to be just another edition of bedroom-video series, Cahill ended up giving fans a big surprise as he lip-synched to Jeremih and 50 Cent's ?Down on Me." Halfway through the song, the rapper walked into the room, kneeled down and joined the session. Near the end of the video, Fif even decked Cahill out in some jewelry by taking off his own chain and putting it on the teen.

Marketing | List Building Income ??? How To Promote Your Online ...

A key component in internet marketing is List Building. List building income should be your number one priority if you have an online business and want to make a full time income. If your income solely comes from the internet, learning about the list building income system is an essential factor for you to generate earnings. Creating a mailing list on the internet is a method businesses use to draw in customers. People are more prone to join your list should you offer something in return. You have to work to earn a possible email address of customer. Internet marketers use list building income strategies any business can mimic.

List building is the process of creating a list of email addresses which subscribers use. If you really want to make money online, you need to have a list building income. When you build your list, you create a profit tunnel; you should be able to meet the necessities or needs of the people in your list. The more tightly your niche is, the more you will be able to provide what your members require. Your ultimate goal is to drive traffic to an opt inbox and collect names and email addresses. By making a list building income, you are building a true asset for your business and lifetime customers who will purchase your products.

Why should people build your list? There are 5 main reasons why people want to make their list building income. Firstly, people want to promote numerous affiliate and their own products when they feel like. They are not restrained to one product and they also have the ability to promote products you create or come across in the future. Secondly, people want to get more ideas for content by asking the subscribers what they would like to know more about. This may take the form of a questionnaire or survey.

Thirdly, they want to increase the chances of making a sale and the probability of making future sales as long as the subscriber remains subscribed. Fourthly, they just focus their efforts only on getting visitors to subscribe to their list. Like this, they do not have to worry constantly about generating one-off sales unlike a traffic broker. Lastly, they want to promote related or unrelated products by asking existing subscribers if they are interested to subscribe to another list of a different niche.

So, how can you get a great list of subscribers, maybe 100 per day? The first thing you will have to do is create something that is attractive enough for someone to want to opt in to your list. One of the better ways to achieve a high conversion rate from people opting in to your list is by building a squeeze page. An effective squeeze page can convert 30% or more visitors to customers. It mainly consists of a really good headline, some bullet points showing strong benefits and the opt inbox, in which people would put their name and email address.

The list building income system is made up of two courses of action. The first step is to get the email addresses and names of your prospective customers and the second one is to appropriately utilize the information to establish a relationship with these people. You should note that "building a relationship" not "selling" is the key term to become successful in list building. You should utilize the process to collect names and addresses of as many online users as possible who have shown curiosity in your content and your business. Fundamentally, you should place a list building link in your webpage. You should even put a subscription form in every pages of your site.

Dr. Karen Becker: Why Even Healthy Pets Should See a Vet

Since lots of people don't visit their own doctor until illness strikes, it's not surprising to me so many pet owners avoid the vet's office as well.

In many ways, the traditional medical establishment seems to have set the stage, encouraging sick visits, not well visits. The approach of conventional Western medicine, both human and veterinary, is often reactive rather than proactive.

The fact is that with the exception of a handful of common screening procedures and tests, some traditionally trained M.D.s and D.V.M.s wait for full-blown illness to show itself and then try to cure it with drugs, surgery or a combination of both.

Why Take My Pet to the Vet if He's Healthy?

I practice proactive veterinary medicine. I want to see your pet when he's healthy so I can help you help him stay that way.

My goal with my patients is to maintain them in the "white zone" of health first and treat disease -- the "black zone" -- as necessary.

In between the white and black zones is the grey zone, in which an animal can be moving in either direction -- toward disease or toward health. I do a lot of my best work with pets in the grey zone, where I'm often able to stop or significantly slow progress toward full-blown illness.

For example, let's say your pet's blood test results come back and some number is a bit off, but not yet out of the established "normal" range. Many vets would take a wait-and-see approach because the number is not (yet) out of whack enough to warrant further action.

In contrast, my approach, and the approach of any proactive practitioner, would be to probe deeper to find the root cause of the not-quite-normal blood test result.

Chances are, something is going on inside your pet's body which is moving her health from the white zone into the grey zone. We want to find out what that something is and deal with it before it becomes an expensive, debilitating or even life-threatening health crisis.

Lots of pet parents are amazed and hugely relieved to learn many disease processes can be halted or reversed with small dietary or lifestyle changes, often coupled with appropriate natural healing therapies.

Re-vaccination Should NOT Be a Reason for Regular Vet Checkups!

It's discouraging to learn that pet owners are often seeking out other sources for re-vaccinations, like pet stores and mobile clinics. And it's not the other sources that concern me; it's the re-vaccinations.

Yearly re-vaccinations are unnecessary and dangerous for many pets. These immunizations should not be used to promote annual veterinary visits. I believe that it's tragic so many pet owners have been led to believe that their pet's health is all about those yearly vaccinations.

At my clinic, I tailor vaccine protocols to minimize risk and maximize protection, taking into account the breed, background, nutritional status and overall vitality of the pet. The protocol I follow provides a single parvo and distemper vaccine at or before 12 weeks of age, and a second set after 14 weeks. I titer two weeks after the last set and if the dog has been successfully immunized, she's protected for life.

If titer tests on any pet, no matter the age, indicate vaccine levels are low, we recommend a booster for only the specific virus or viruses that titered low, and only for those to which the animal has a real risk of exposure.

We do not use or recommend combination vaccines (six to eight viruses in one shot), which is the traditional yearly booster.

Why I Encourage Routine Wellness Exams

I recommend twice yearly wellness examinations to my Natural Pet clients. This is especially true for animals getting up there in years.

It's somewhat the nature of humans to avoid situations that may bring bad news. This is another reason many pet owners avoid routine vet visits. It's the old "ignorance is bliss" approach. Needless to say, this isn't a wise outlook when it comes to issues of health.

That's why I want to emphasize, again, that in the case of a developing illness in your pet, often a few simple lifestyle changes are all that is needed to return your companion to glowing good health.

Many diseases seem to come on quickly and progress rapidly. The reality is that there are almost always subtle changes taking place long before there is evidence of a full-blown illness. It's those subtle changes I look for in routine wellness exams, so we can take action right away and hopefully prevent a developing illness from destroying your precious pet's health.

For the same reason, I also recommend you perform regular at-home wellness exams on your pet between veterinary visits.

Magnolia Pictures Picks Up Von Trier/Scorsese Project 'The Five Obstructions' (Cannes 2011)

CANNES ? In one of the worst cases of bad-timing in this year?s Cannes, Magnolia Pictures and Australian distributor Madman pre-bought rights to Lars Von Trier?s new film, a documentary collaboration with Martin Scorsese called The Five Obstructions: Scorsese vs Trier. Magnolia took North American rights, Madman rights for Australia/New Zealand from TrustNordisk.Magnolia reportedly signed the deal for Five Obstructions at 4 am on Tuesday, just hours before Lars Von Trier?s notorious Cannes press conference for his latest film, Melancholia, in which he called himself a Nazi and said he ?sympathized with Hitler a little bit.? Magnolia also has domestic rights to Melancholia.

Von Trier has since apologized for the remarks and the Cannes Film Festival has acknowledged his apology but the damage was done. Melancholia?s Argentine distributor has?refused to release the film and distributors around the world are worrying about how Von Trier?s latest scandal will impact Melancholia?s release and reception.

The Five Obstructions also pre-sold to Poland (Kino Swiat), Romanian (Independenta) and the Czech and Slovak Republics (Aero Films) at the Cannes market.

Both Magnolia and Madman also pre-bought the Danish period epic A Royal Affair, which Von Trier executive produced and Nikolaj Arcel is directing, from TrustNordisk.
